Ballaarat Calisthenic Solo Highlights

By | news | No Comments

In a joint venture with Calisthenics Victoria Inc, Royal South Street are proud to present a short clip of the inaugural Ballaarat Calisthenics Solo Competition.

The night was an absolute hit, with Regent Calisthenics’ Callista Reed taking home the win. On a side note Callista is actually a Great Great Great Granddaughter of a past South Street President.

We can’t wait to see what next year brings!

Mi Sound ‘Hope’ and dreams

By | news | No Comments

Last night Monday 5th September we welcomed in our first new discipline to be introduced in over 17 years, Mi Sound. Mi Sound has been designed for those studying VCE-VET Music Industry Skills programs in mind, (but not exclusively for current students).  Competitors are required to present a 20 minute set in any music style, either solo or as a group, and original material is encouraged. Mi Sound offers real live industry experience at a nightclub venue in Ballarat and competitors will receive meaningful feedback from adjudicators who come from the live music scene

The inaugural session saw some fantastic young talent perform, with Hope Tautasi winning the audience vote for the best performance. Congratulations to Hope as well as all other performers and good luck to those set to perform in the coming days
