We hope you are staying safe and well.
For everyone facing the prospect of another 6 weeks of lockdown, we are with you, hang in there you can do this!
The Royal South Street Society (RSSS) are making every effort to ensure our 2020 Eisteddfod can proceed where possible. We are closely following government announcements regarding restrictions and will continue to follow the advice given. At no stage will we proceed with any competition that puts our competitors, volunteers, staff, family and friends lives at risk. Your safety is our main concern.
The landscape will continue to change as we learn more and more about the virus. We will continue to send updates as we know more.
Please stay safe and take care, from the RSSS team.
ENTRIES Extended till Friday 29th May
Our entries are now extended till Friday 29th May, for all disciplines, including the Australian Calisthenics Competition.
Please be aware, some discipline sections have been canceled for 2020 due to COVID -19 restrictions and have been removed form our Eisteddfod schedule. Refunds will be issued to all those who have already entered in any canceled disciplines or sections. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and we are busy working hard to make sure your refunds are processed and that we can proceed with as many disciplines and sections that we can, for 2020.
We are still busily planning for our 2020 Eisteddfod! However, in light of COVID-19, we are investigating alternate ways to proceed with competitions. Our number one priority is the health and well-being of our competitors, volunteers, audience and staff. So with this in mind, our 2020 Eisteddfod may be a little different this year.
Our entries are now extended till 1st May for all disciplines, including the Australian Calisthenics Competition.

With the rapidly changing situation in regard to Covid-19, I thought it was appropriate at this time to provide you with an update on our planning for Royal South Street’s 2020 Eisteddfod.
Royal South Street Society will always put the health and well-being of our competitors, volunteers, audience and staff first and foremost. With this in mind we will continue to monitor developments and take advice from government and experts as to the actions we should take.
Entries are now open for most of our disciplines and planning continues as normal for our competitions to open on 19 July.
As per our General Rule 2.4 Entry Fees
“Fees are non-refundable once entries close, unless for an extenuating circumstance or if the section is cancelled by RSSS.”
Therefore should Royal South Street cancel a section or sections we would contact all affected competitors in regard to processing refunds. It has also been Royal South Street’s policy to treat illness as an extenuating circumstance and refunded entrant fees in those cases.
Royal South Street Society will allow its staff to work from home where that is practical. This means that our office may at times be unattended. If you need to contact us please do so via email, and we will answer your question promptly. Our email is firstname.lastname@example.org
Please all take care.
