Narelle Carr was born and raised in Ballarat as the eldest of 6 children, and now with two children Meg and Anthony in their ‘teens’ and a wonderful husband Kris, Ballarat is proudly her home.
Narelle is a Senior Executive in both Human Resources and Executive Search – working across Ballarat and Melbourne.
Narelle reached out to the Royal South Street Society to provide contemporary and effective Human Resources support (post Covid) for employees, volunteers and stakeholders, in the hope she could add value with this experience in a volunteering capacity. With 25 years’ experience in the corporate sector across blue chip multi nationals as well as experience in both the private and public sector, Narelle hopes her experience brings ideas and an energy that will in part see the RSSS Board’s strategic intent and continuation come to fruition over the next 3 years.
Narelle’s has a long-standing relationship and interest with RSSS as a young dancer herself, and more recently as a parent of a dancer. Her family here in Ballarat has a long history of ‘pioneering’ the very fabric of our community and she sees RSSS as a part of that high cultural embodiment of our town and now city – Narelle wants to see the arts flourish again (post pandemic) and see our community youth thrive in the opportunities (and in building personal confidence) with what the RSSS offers to them as individuals; as well as being seen across Australia as a premier eisteddfod, spotlighting Ballarat and all it has to offer so broadly.
