Hi, I’m Harriet Larkins, I’m 12 years old and I was the Royal South Street Eisteddfod aggregate winner for 2024.
Singing has always been something I’m passionate about, whether I’m involved in theatre or I’m at a vocal competition, it’s always made me happy. I started singing when I was 4, with my outstanding singing teacher, Anna Whitehead, at Anna Whitehead Music Studios. My first performance was when I was 5, and I sung in front of a large crowd of around 400 people. From then on, I was ecstatic whenever I got to be on stage using my voice. When I won the aggregate award this year, my face lit up as all of my hard work and dedication paid off in the end. It made me feel so proud about the effort that me and my supporters had put in to help me achieve my goal. This award is more than a trophy, it’s a representation of a year of hard work and commitment. I feel proud of myself and everybody else who sang this year!
