Formed in 2009, Ballarat Wind Orchestra is the region’s premier wind ensemble.

The Orchestra has completed several ambitious projects since its inception, including premiering new Australian works for Wind Band and collaborating with organisations such as the Ballarat Choral Society and the Victoria Chorale to present Carmina Burana and Mozart’s Requiem in Ballarat and Melbourne.

The Wind Orchestra completed tours to Europe in 2011 and 2018, and China in 2014. This year, the Orchestra will perform throughout France and Italy, including performances in Angers, the Chiesa di San Massimo in Turin, Riva del Garda and at the Festival des Anches d’Azur in La Croix-Valmer.

Sally-Anne Russell will join the Ballarat Wind Orchestra and conductor Mario Dobernig as special guest for this year’s tour.
