- Do you have a special connection to RSSS (ie previous competitor, know someone who has competed).
RSSS is very special to my family and I. A yearly trip to Ballarat has been in our household since I started Calisthenics in 1996 and have been lucky to watch the prestigious Most Graceful Girl competition each year since my Mum competed in 1999 as the oldest competitor to grace the stage at the age of 36! I have been fortunate enough to compete in the competition myself 3 times with my final year being the most special when I got to be on stage when my sister Julia Doig was presented as the winner in 2017. Honestly being one of my biggest highlights of my Calisthenics career and a moment I will never forget! A number of our Couture models have gone on to win & place in the competition & with a highlight of creating the winning costume for Kathryn Andrews in the 2018 Calisthenics Solo Competition.
- How does your sponsorship of RSSS align with your business (Couture Costume Dancewear)
Apart from the given personal history above, we create the dancewear that performers love to wear; they were their Couture during their training & preparation classes for these competitions, with some even creating a special class leotard that reminds them of their costume as a keep sake. The routines these performers create with their coaches to present on stage are always tailored to each performer to show of the best versions of themselves and our business does exactly that for our customers.
- Any other special stories you wish to share or a message for the RSSS competitors
Wishing every single performer & their village all the best for the auditions in the hope they reach the finals. Be sure to cherish every part of your journey & show them how incredible you truly are!
